While using 6,000 Superchargers in Europe is no little accomplishment, Tesla nevertheless has a while to go ahead of the rapid charging system saturates the area. Superchargers, after all, nevertheless contain but a little part of Europe’s entire EV charging infrastructure.

Statistics from Statista imply the 2020, you will find roughly 285,800 public charging stations for electric vehicles in Europe. This is vastly bigger than the Supercharger Network, however, it does include slower chargers that are under or equivalent to 22 kW.  Tesla’s Supercharger V3 channels are capable of supplying the output of 250 kW. Tesla’s elderly V2 channels continue to be high-powered, with their output of about 150 kW.

A quick growth of this Supercharger Network would substantially profit Tesla, particularly as Gigafactory Berlin closes in on its own regional Model Y production. With more Teslas entering the European market from Gigafactory Berlin, it would make excellent sense for Tesla to ensure that its automobiles in the area would be supported by a fast, secure, and convenient charging infrastructure.

Tesla Superchargers are famous not only for their speed. They’re also well-received on account of their simplicity of use. Unlike some third-party charging systems, Superchargers do not need another app or even card to initiate a charging session. Tesla owners just plug into their vehicles and monitor the charging session during the mobile app.

Tesla currently works over 20,000 Superchargers globally, permitting the firm ’s electrical vehicles to do long-distance trips effortlessly. Aside from Europe, Tesla is also aggressively expanding the system in China, where hundreds of new websites are apparently being opened every couple of months.
