After Sandy Munro began his analysis of an early production Tesla Model 3, then he was aghast in the vehicle’s quirks, and he also made his disapproval known. Munro did not pull back his punches , pointing outside that the vehicle’s build quality problems and outlining exactly what was wrong with all the all-electric sedan. Yet as soon as his analysis took him beyond the Model 3’s bodywork, Munro found something remarkable: Tesla’s tech was beyond everybody else’s at the automotive sector, and it’s not even close.

From now he was finished tearing down the Model 3, Munro was quite impressed by Tesla. Everything, he noticed, by the Model 3’s suspension down to its batteries was on point, and the company’therefore tech was insane. Munro indicated that when Tesla had just paid more attention to its basics like build quality, the electrical automobile maker could have wiped the floor with legacy automakers. These improvements could all be reviewed via Munro’s numerous looks at Autoline After Hours, where he is featured as a guest from time to time.

Munro and his company, Munro and Associates, eventually took on their following Tesla project by tearing down an early production Model Y. The veteran was able to share his perspectives on the vehicle through a show that he and his staff uploaded on YouTube. The movie show recorded every step along the Model Y’s teardown process, also while Munro still observed a number of construct quality-related points for improvement from the all-electric crossoverthat he also had been impressed overall. So impressed, in actuality, that Munro chose to share his excitement for the vehicle publicly. Recent videos even include “tips” for Tesla which could enhance their vehicles farther.

This did not sit well with Tesla critics, but especially the online TSLAQ group. Tesla critics and short-sellers are proven to disperse the occasional conspiracy theory, whether that entails accusations of misuse by the Tesla CEO to alleged cover-ups by government agencies which are allegedly paid by the electrical automobile manufacturer to do their bidding. Granted, the majority of these conspiracy theories are merely noise, but occasionally, this noise could result in very real repercussions. Unfortunately, this specific thing happened to Sandy Munro.

As it became clear that Munro was publicly supportive of Tesla and the Model Y, it did not take long to its TSLAQ Twitter network to insinuate that the teardown pro was actually being paid by the electrical automobile maker for good publicity. Notable short-sellers joined in over the insinuations, TSLAQ trolls dared Munro to file a lawsuit against them, and a few members of the media that are proven to be critical of their electric automobile manufacturer brought up the fact that the teardown pro ’s position on Tesla transformed over time

These, of course, fail to research one potential justification for Munro’so shift on his position about Tesla. While Munro was publicly critical of this Model 3 during his very first look at the vehicle, he was eventually won by the tech and innovation that was placed to the car or truck. Even the Model Y, that followed the Model 3, embodied many of Munro’s very own points for advancement that he raised during his investigation of this all-electric sedan. Perhaps, just perhaps, Tesla is advancing as an automaker, and the company’s electrical cars are really at the bleeding edge of automotive tech.

Ever the fighter, Munro has posted a stern response to the insinuations leveled against him by Tesla critics. At an YouTube video, Munro laid down the law on TSLAQ, declaring that neither he nor his company has been paid to speak positively about the electric automobile manufacturer. And in authentic Munro manner, the teardown specialist came with evidence, describing exactly how innovations like the Octovalve are only possible in a company which works like Tesla. Following is his announcement.

“Munro and Associates is not, I repeat, is not paid by Tesla to say or do or get anything that we’ve. I am aware that a few folks are saying things like that. They don’t even understand what they’re talking about. I have to try and defend myself periodically, and this is it. So, I will tell you a little something right now that the Tesla haters or essentially the people that are attempting to push me out of business are still stating — that Tesla wouldn’t tell you.

“So that is part of this Octovalve. And what we now ’ve discovered is, we had among our customers come together with a fresh new Tesla. It was constructed approximately a month ago and we discovered that their merchandise, the product which you’re seeing here — that the aluminum supermanifold — the merchandise had 13 design adjustments associated with that. Thirteen. I’m going to tell you. I couldn’t even get one design change through in a year when I was at Ford Motor Company. First, they (Tesla) failed 13 in three months. That’s they’re kicking some serious butt.

“Another thing that we found was when we received our automobile, there was no shroud around the breaker. Their vehicle had an outstanding layout for a shroud, and it looked spectacular. Now am I saying matters that Tesla advised me to tell you? I don’t believe so… Munro and Associates and myself since the number only partner, we are in this strictly for the perfect reasons. I am not purchased by anyone. Nobody in this company is purchased by anyone. We are a consulting house that tells the facts all of the time — good, bad, or bad — as well as I’m just starting to learn about that. It’s all crap. Don’t even believe any of it. ”

Most of the tweets posted online which indicated that Munro was a paid shill because Tesla have been deleted, although some screenshots of the posts have made the rounds on the internet. It is through such that it had been disclosed that Sandy Munro has begun preparing a lawsuit to hold the TSLAQ members liable for damages, seeing as one of his key clients was affected by the accusations. According to a message sent by the veteran teardown specialist to some vital Tesla critic, it seems that Munro is dead , and he’s looking to hold those engaged in the problem accountable.
