Tesla Turbine Boat Uses Lily Impeller

So far as the boat side of things is concerned, it’s a basic 3D printed single strand layout. The innovation comes in the drivetrain, rather. The boat uses compressed air for propulsion, stored in a battery of four soda bottles, pressurized into 6 pub. The compressed air is used to drive a Tesla turbine of [Integza]’s design, which can be 3D printed onto a resin printer. Rather then driving a propeller, the Tesla turbine rather turns a Lily impeller, which attracts the boat through the water as opposed to pushing it together. The impeller uses a nature-inspired design, hence the name, and has been 3D published, making producing its complicated geometry a breeze. The bowels of a toy radio control car would be subsequently used to control the boat.

Understandably, functionality is significantly much less than stellar. The restricted bookings of compressed air could ’t propel the boat long, and also the blend of the top RPM Tesla turbine and Lily impeller don’t supply a whole lot of thrust. However, the boat does move under its own power, demonstrating these oddball technology while doing this.
