Elon Musk announced an impending improvement to Tesla’s Summon attribute Wednesday, which will allow its electrical vehicles to “accompany you like a pet. ”
In a set of tweets Wednesday evening, the entrepreneur explained the new capability should be made accessible around six months to each of Tesla vehicles constructed over the past two decades.
Tesla innovative Summon prepared in ~6 months! Only an over-the-air software update, so will work with cars made in last 2 years (Autopilot hardware V2+).

In the existing Summon version, a Tesla vehicle can park itself inside your garage, for instance. The planned update would, based on Musk, allow the vehicle to “push to your phone place ” and accompany you if desired through use of the corresponding cell phone app.

You’ll also be able to push the automobile “just like a large [remote control] automobile,” Musk added, if it’s in your line of sight.

Musk says that by next year, even a Tesla will even be able to “push across a parking lot, find an empty place, read signs to confirm it’s still legitimate and park. ”
The planned upgrade was revealed soon afterwards Musk commented on a viral video revealing the Summon characteristic being used to remotely park a Tesla.

Last week, Musk announced that the company intended to implement a “dog mode” attribute designed to keep critters from overheating while secured inside their owner’s automobile.
