Tesla’s CARB letter hints at Cybertrucks’ ‘medium-duty’ class, same segment as Ford F-250

Tesla recently informed California authorities that its upcoming Cybertruck will likely qualify as a Class 2B-3 medium-duty vehicle, hinting that the vehicle is going to have a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), very similar to that of the Ford F-250. At the letter to CARB, Tesla also pushed for the strengthening of the Advanced Clean Truck rules. The business advocated stricter revenue requirements for Class 2B-3 pickup truck makers so California can meet state and federal clean air requirements.
