Much like most Tesla attributes — both fun and functional — the idea for Dog Mode began out of a tweet. Last October, Model 3 owner Josh Atchley proposed that Tesla should create a dedicated mode for pets who are left inside vehicles. The Tesla enthusiast noted that the mode should maintain a comfortable temperature in the cottage, and it should include a message to passersby telling them that the pet within the vehicle is safe. Another Tesla enthusiast additionally suggested that the temperature within the vehicle’s cottage should be exhibited on the electrical cars’ display. Musk responded favorably to these thoughts.
Considering the hints of the Model 3 owner that Elon Musk responded to, it appears that Tesla’s upcoming Dog Mode are an expansion of the company’s present Cabin Overheat Protection feature, which prevents temperatures within a car to exceed a set threshold. Having said that, additional information for Dog Mode remain to be viewed, although credit is due to the electric car maker for more releasing a safety feature .

In a collection of tweets, Musk said that Sentry Mode would activate gaudy, classical music to be performed when an automobile detects a robbery occurring. This type of method would draw much attention to the vehicle as possible, so discouraging would-be thieves and vandals.
To allow the feature to operate, speculations are very high that Tesla will be using the video feed by the electrical cars’ package of cameras. This setup is currently used at the built-in dashcam feature, which utilizes data from one camera. In the instance of all Sentry Mode, Tesla could leverage all eight surrounding cameras in its vehicles for constant, 360-degree video tracking capabilities.
Contemplating Elon Musk’s update, members of Tesla’s beta tester app should receive the Sentry Mode and also Dog Mode updates in the not too distant future.
