Tesla CEO Elon Musk has provided an Answer to Top Gear‘s Current Evaluation of the Porsche Taycan Turbo S and the Tesla Model S Performance. In a couple of articles on Twitter, Musk noted that the Model S functionality figures published books are incorrect, which an upcoming upgrade will be published to your flagship sedan to give it an additional advantage against the top-tier Taycan.

Best Gear‘s Taycan vs Model S comparison was fairly balanced together with the book noting that the Tesla is comfortable for passengers on long trips because of the superior variety and large inner space. That being said, Top Gear also included a quarter-mile drag race between the two all-electric sedans, that reportedly ended using the Model S observing a 0-60 mph time of 2.68 moments, a 0-100 kilometers of 6.46 seconds, along with a quarter-mile period of 11.08 seconds at 124.0 mph.

Drag Race Times evaluation is accurate. Additionally, there’s a software update for Model S coming out which increases peak power by 50HP, therefore Model S ought to beat Porsche Taycan Turbo S by a larger margin in 0 to 60 & 1/4 mile races.

These times, that were precisely identical to the results of some Model S P100D vs Mercedes AMG E63S drag race out of 2017, as well as signs that Top Gear didn’t participate the Model S’ Launch Mode and complete Ludicrous Plus Mode during its race with all the Taycan Turbo S, were both emphasized in a video by veteran drag racer along with DragTimes sponsor Brooks. As stated by the drag racer, the figures published by Top Gear were suspicious, to say the very least, since it didn’t reflect the capacities of a Model S doing at optimum capacity.

Musk responded to this comparison, saying that the DragTimes sponsor is indeed right in his observations. Never one to stand , Musk also stated that the Model S Performance will soon be receiving a power boost via an upcoming upgrade. The upgrade should include the flagship and 50 hp Model S, which ought to permit the sedan to outrun the Porsche Taycan Turbo S at a 0-60 mph and quarter-mile sprint.

But Drag Times is right, Top Gear is wrong
