A new Tesla update seems to be hinting at the potential rollout of qualities that would allow one of the firm ’s cars. These features, assuming they are released shortly, would be an important step for Tesla’s attempts at rolling out driving systems for its vehicles.

The possible stoplight and stop sign features were shared by the Tesla neighborhood ’s resident hacker, @greentheonly, that managed to perform a short dip to the electric car manufacturer ’s 2020.12 upgrade. The upgrade is pretty nondescript, since its launch notes were completely equal to the 20.8 upgrade. But concealed within its code are icons that strongly hint in the firm at introducing quitting features that are automatic attempts.

The icons found in the upgrade revealed a stoplight, a stop sign, and a warning. It was seen these icons will represent, though @greentheonly mentioned the icons will be exhibited when a Tesla activates its automatic quitting attribute.

The capacity to stop when encountering stop signals and stop lights is an invaluable job for Tesla’s Full Self-Driving package, that is targeted at permitting vehicles to traveling via inner-city streets without driver input. Tesla’s FSD order page specifically refers to the characteristic, stating that the capability to “comprehend and react to traffic lights and stop signs” is coming. The addition of those new icons, then, suggests that Tesla has gathered enough data that its neural networks learning and are recognizing how to respond when encountering stoplights and stop signs.

Not correct. I've confirmed w/Tesla that MCU1s will operate FSD, only differently than MCU2s.THERE WILL BE NO FREE MCU UPGRADE. This rumor was founded on older data, when Engineering still explored options. https://t.co/iLc6zuME8z

Aside from the brand new icons for automatic quitting, 2020.12 also included what seemed to be trainings to show FSD visuals on automobiles built with Tesla’s older infotainment systems. This bodes well for cars that are equipped with the firm ’s old MCU1, a few of that vehicles whose owners have obtained the Full Self-Driving suite. Ultimately, the new visuals will likely be a welcome upgrade for owners who do not wish to pay $2,500 to get the MCU2 retrofit, since their electrical vehicles will still exhibit upgraded visualizations with the rollout of new FSD features.

Tesla is in a initiative to roll out additional features for the Full Self-Driving suite. While Elon Musk’s aim of rolling out a “feature version of FSD prior to the conclusion of 2019 wasn’t met, the company appears to be to make a great deal of headway. With stopping features apparently coming mentions of telephone,” along with the multitude of different refinements being introduced to Autopilot, Tesla’s inner-city driving capabilities might be within reach sooner than anticipated.
