The 25 most expensive ZIP codes in America in 2019

Real estate blog Property Shark has launched its annual ranking of the most expensive ZIP codes in the United States.
For the third season in a row, Silicon Valley suburb Atherton took the top place.
The median sale price in Atherton, California, was $7 million in 2019 — up nearly 43 percent from 2017.
The country’s second-priciest ZIP code is the tiny Hamptons village of Sagaponack at New York, where the median sale price is $4.3 million.

There’s a good deal of expensive real estate in California. 

Property Shark released its annual ranking of the very expensive ZIP codes in America on Monday, and California dominates 91% of the cities on the record.

Property Shark’s ranking is based on home sale prices. Atherton, California‘s 94027 remains the most expensive ZIP code, with a 6.7 million median home sale price — that is up nearly 43 percent from 2017, as it first jumped into the peak of the list.

Located within striking distance of Google, Facebook, Tesla, and other technology giants’ headquarters, Atherton is home to several of Silicon Valley’s 1 percent . 

ZIP codes in New York, Washington, Florida, and Massachusetts also looked on the record, and also a Brooklyn ZIP code broke for the first time into the top 100.
