In Fowlst, you play as a loot-seeking owl that has somehow gotten itself stuck in Hell’s underground labyrinth. Each time you play with is its own challenge that is special because each chamber is created and filled with deadly traps and demons .
Controls are simple. You tap on either side of the display to flap your wings in that direction and you got to keep flapping to fly. By running into them, you kill demons but they trying to shoot at you so you’ve got to dodge their attacks while setting up to swoop in on them.
Loot drops with power ups that you can trigger with a swipe anywhere on the screen along in the form of money sacks. You’ll want to collect as much loot as possible since you can spend them on valuable upgrades that will increase your wellbeing, give you magnetic powers for collecting loot, and also give you more strikes like egg whites and homing rockets that shoot out your butt.
There’s a sequel — Super Fowlst — that’s free to play but has more ads that distract from the core gameplay.
Battlelands Royale
Battlelands Royale is a battle royale game that combines a perspective and cartoony graphics with a last man standing format that works really well. This game provides a take as a game takes just a few minutes to complete on the battle royale formulation that’s absolutely for gaming sessions. Just like PUBG or Fortnite, you parachute down on a map with a bunch of different players — 29 competitions in this instance — and must scavenge for weapons, ammo, and armor when staying in the safety circle and removing your enemies.
You’re restricted to sneak past them, leading to some moments in which you will need to choose whether to engage an enemy or try and carrying one gun and ammo is sparse. There’s also a duo mode where you can team up with a buddy or a player. The art style and gameplay are bright and fun and this is a terrific game for killing time. It’s free to play with purchases for character skins.

JYDGE
JYDGE is a violent and gritty top-down twin-stick shooter that’s a complete blast to play. You’re the JYDGE, a cybernetic enforcement officer who uses his Gavel (see: BIG freaking gun) to distribute RoboCop-style justice.
Each level features but never feel as a chore. Confiscating money you’re ready to update JYDGE and his gavel . In that way, JYDGE retains the rogue-like component from its predecessor Neon Chrome by inviting you to replay levels with distinct upgrade combinations until you finish all the challenges.
With a game that has you replay levels over and over again, it is imperative for a sport to find that mix of great gameplay with an interesting soundtrack that isn’t super annoying or repetitive — and JYDGE absolutely delivers.

Tesla vs Lovecraft
Tesla vs Lovecraft is the newest game from Finnish developers 10tons Ltd and it’s a real treat. The match pits Nikola Tesla and his hi-tech inventions against a vengeful H.P. Lovecraft that has unleashed endless waves of nightmarish monsters that will quickly swarm around you unless you fight back.
This is an incredibly polished game that uses controls for moving and shooting. The effort gradually increases with well over 200 enemies if you are not quickly with your trigger finger spawning on screen at the same time. Fortunately, there are power-ups and perks aplenty that are available in rogue-like fashion. You collect XP as you monsters and receive a new perk every time you level up. Weapons and power-ups randomly spawn on the map and you will also want to collect the six bits required to build Tesla’s mech that can cut down any horde in order.
The touchscreen controls feel comfy and the game also provides great support for Bluetooth controls that is always fantastic to see in a premium game. There’s a ton of content built into the base game, along with some DLC available that provides more, weapons and new monsters. Do not worry, the game feels polished without having to shell out more money, but once you’ve finally made it through everything that Tesla vs Lovecraft must offer you may be glad there is a little bit more to research.

Suzy Cube
Suzy Cube is a game that’s been in the works for many years. Developed by an indie game developer, this action-packed platformer is. It’s easiest to compare the graphics and gameplay to Super Mario 3D Land for the Nintendo 3DS and is much superior to Mario’s mobile introduction, Super Mario Run.
In Suzy Cube, you play with the titular character who has set out on an adventure to recover her family’s fortune that has been stolen by baddies that are block-shaped. Although other obstacles need quick reflexes to dodge each assault most enemies can be defeated by jumping on their heads.
There are a lot of ways a 3D platformer can go wrong — bad controls, shoddy camera, uninspired level design — but Suzy Cube is a rare gem that indicates that a proper console-quality platformer could be made for cellular without any compromise. You hear that, Nintendo?
ICEY
From its name to its program , ICEY is a fairly unassuming entrance in the Google Play Store that would be easy to overlook — but that would be a mistake.
At its heart, ICEY is a 2D side-scrolling action game in which you play as the titular character, a mysterious cybernetic warrior who kicks serious ass. The game updated as you progress through the game and plays flawlessly, with tight controls and skills to be unlocked.
If that’s all ICEY was — a action game — it would still find a spot on this list. But that’s just the beginning, there is also an at play here investigating the relationship between the player and the narrator. The narrator will guide you around the world and tell you where you should go & hellip; if you ignore the narrator, but what happens?
There are layers to this game and a list of trophies to unlock. If you love games and meta-humor you definitely need to check out ICEY!
Death Road to Canada
You are likely to want to make sure it has great replay value, when you’re going to be dropping money on a game. In that respect, Death Road To Canada is an outstanding choice.
Facing a zombie apocalypse, you must lead a group of characters to the safety of Canada. Along the way, loot and you’ll need to research places for equipment, while also managing the morale and health of your team.
Everything in Death Road to Canada is generated, making every a unique experience. You can randomly generate your character and friend or custom design your characters with different features to help them stay alive.
The controls take some getting used to, and there is a pretty steep learning curve because you learn which weapons are best and when it’s better to run or fight. And you’ll die, often and early, although that’s part of the fun of a zombie apocalypse, right?
There’s a ridiculous amount of depth in this game, such as 10 distinct game modes to unlock. The price might seem a bit steep, but it is well worth the investment if you’re a lover of zombie games that are rogue-like!

Stranger Things: The Game
If you’re a true lover of Stranger Things, you’ve already binge-watched the entirety of Season 2 (possibly in a single sitting). But the truest of Stranger Things lovers have also beaten on Stranger Things: The Game, a surprisingly good game released by Netflix that has no right being as great as it is.
Set in the town of Hawkins, Indiana you begin playing as Police Chief Jim Hopper as he heads out to search for a missing child, but discovers. The gameplay has a traditional Zelda vibe to it, and the mix of puzzles and activity sections keep things feeling fresh. You’ll find different characters from the series who have special abilities which enable you to get to new areas of the world and join your party as you explore the town.
There’s just so much to appreciate here. Not only is it a faithful adaptation of the series, it is available for free with no in-app buys or annoying ads…outside the game itself.
Yes, this game is a playable advertisement for Season 2 of Stranger Things — in actuality, one of the benefits for finishing the game is an extended trailer for season that is said. But unlike other mobile games tied to movie or TV show franchises, Stranger Things: The Game can stand on its own as a great game whether you’re a fan of the source material or not.

Death Point
Death Point is as polished a game as you’ll find on Android. It’s a top-down stealth shooter in which you perform a captured spy in a post-apocalyptic world where you must sneak through enemy compounds taking out guards and sabotaging their systems as you move.
Your goal is to meet up with the only other member of your team who has lived, an operator who is able to communicate with you through technology implanted in your brain. She’s there to give you hints and info and supply some lighthearted banter and story as you get down to business getting your revenge.
The graphics are next level, and you’ll probably need a recent flagship to get the most out of this game, with terrific lighting effects to explain to you once you’re visible to guards and when you’re hidden in the shadows. You are free to play however you please — be extra stealthy, or move in Rambo-style — but you will quickly learn that this game is very unforgiving if you make mistakes making a stealthier approach the winning strategy.
There are 10 challenging chapters to play that will test even the most hardcore gamers. It’s a title that’s worth the premium price.

Island Delta
Island Delta was published by the people at Noodlecake Studios, which alone makes it worth checking out. Developed by Mantisbite out of Finland and published for iOS in late 2016, Island Delta brings action-adventure-puzzler fun to Android. You are tasked with exploring a mysterious island with your heroes, Zoe and Baxter, as you attempt to take down the evil Doctor Gunderson and his army of henchmen.
Using your gun, you must work your way past guards, traps, and mechanical minions as you solve puzzles to make it through to the end of each level. At times Island Delta feels like a down, third-person version Portal, which is something I was not aware I needed in my life.
Level design that is outstanding and the cartoony graphics will draw you in, but this game can become challenging at times. The game is forgiving with checkpoints.

Downwell
Downwell is a game in which the goal is simple — you see how far you can fall and jump down the well. Easy, right? Well, not quite — the well is filled with enemies. But do not worry, you’re ready to shoot down as you go, which also helps you kind of float.
Story? Who wants a story when you’re searching for is action! In controls that are simple and the cool graphics, this is a game that’s easy to jump into but difficult to master. Each time you play is unique, with new weapon upgrades popping up randomly. At the end of each stage, you get to choose an additional power-up to help you along.
But be warned that this game is challenging as hell. There’s a learning curve because you learn how to best use your weapons and which enemies can be stomped and that will need to be blasted. You can pick up and play with it a different game each time since this is a rogue-like game.
Penarium
Penarium is a tough-as-nails platformer created by Team 17, who you remember from the Worms franchise. Whereas Worms was a strategy game, Penarium is featuring actions and requiring quick reflexes to survive.
It tells the tale of a Willy, a farm boy who longed for adventure. A circus show rolls into town 1 day and Willy decides to run away for a little excitement and fun. But this is no ordinary circus — it is Penarium, the circus extravaganza!
Willy’s another contestant in their twisted game, where the goal is to smash the barrels while dodging all sorts of traps and weaponry. This game was originally released on Steam, but the gameplay is excellent for mobile devices. The platforming action here is really tight, with a variety of weapons and traps .
The images are beautiful without affecting the performance that is gameplay, and blends with the soundtrack to create a really polished experience. Touch screen controls are hit or miss, but I think they work really well here as an homage to the era’s simple penny arcades. There are two game modes to play: Campaign mode that enables you to unlock additional arenas and is the”story mode” so to speak; and Arcade mode, which challenges you to survive for as long as you can collecting coins that you can spend on upgrades. It’s a terrific game for quick casual sessions that provides a challenge. It’s a program also, so there is no ads or in-app purchases to distract you.
Injustice 2
Injustice 2 is the sequel to the award-winning game Injustice: Gods Among Us, which can be one of the best fighting games for Android. If you’ve played and enjoyed the game, you’re sure to enjoy the sequel that features dream fight match-ups between villains and your favorite heroes from the DC Universe.
Unlock heroes and build your final team as you battle in 3 vs 3 fights with the ability to swap out fighters. The usual suspects are here — Batman, Superman, Joker, Harley Quinn — as well as.
Controls are optimized for Android and feel even better than they did in the first game. Duck, it is easier than ever to jump and shoot projectiles, with epic Super Moves available to finish your opponents off. This game really shines, powered by the Unreal engine. You begin with a Campaign mode only, with Arena, Story, Operations, and Challenge modes unlocked on.
Like the first game, Injustice 2 is free-to-play with a stamina bar to control and diamonds and coins invest and to collect. There are purchases if you’re impatient and want to unlock new characters quickly, but there is plenty of fun.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Grand Theft Auto is one of the iconic video game franchises that continues to influence different games. Chances are you’ve played a GTA title before on PC or console, but they perform just as nicely on Android, too!
Rockstar Games has released five great GTA titles to choose from and you can’t go wrong with any of them. Play through Liberty City Stories, San Andreas, Vice City, GTA III, and Chinatown Wars and receive your shoot-’em-up, blow-’em-up, car-stealing fix on cellular!
They’re all great games but I’ve decided to highlight San Andreas because it has that map and introduced a bunch of features to the show that remain to this day. Reconnect with CJ and the Grove Street Families gang as you spill enemy blood on the streets of Los Santos. It’s worth saying that these games are NOT for kids. The Mature rating from the Google Play Store isn’t lying.
So, if you would like full Grand Theft Auto games right on your phone, hit the Google Play Store and go to town. Remember that, since these are the games you know and love, they will occupy a ton of space on your device.
