With many owners taking delivery of their brand new and shiny 2020 Chevrolet Corvettes these days, sadly, it was simply a matter of time until information of burglars breaking to a C8 surfaced.

This episode happened within the weekend of March, 2020, at Houston, Texas, on Bellaire Boulevard in the city’s Chinatown area at a parking lot. Thankfully, the scene was filmed by a security camera and the footage will help authorities identify the culprits.

The video, which was detected by CarBuzz, was uploaded on Facebook with a guy called Nauman Razzak, who is a buddy of this Corvette C8’s proprietor. As Nauman told CarScoops (in addition to from the description of this video), the proprietor provides a “$1,000 cash on the spot award to anyone who defines ” the burglars.

As the video shows, there were two people operating: one drove the black Buick LaCrosse (2010-2013MY second gen, pre-facelift ), although the other one broke to the reddish high-wing 2020 Corvette. He slipped through the Buick’s open rear window to gain access to this sports vehicle without touching the ground.

We may observe the burglar was wearing a hoodie white gloves and a mask, so identifying him will not be simple. While that’s the very fact he broke into a empty 2020 Corvette likely came to him.

That’s that the only way we could clarify. As the video uploader told CarScoops, the perpetrator smashed the passenger side window, with the glass shards scratching the door panel. As though that wasn’t enough, the burglar tore the door up, either on the exterior and indoors.

We’re advised that the total cost of the inside door panel alone is over $2,500, with the proprietor estimating overall damages at around $5,000 (we assume the ’s the cost if he goes through the dealer route to find everything fixed). You can observe the wake with the damages caused by the car’s inside trim in the video he shared with us below.

In the event you’re capable of giving info about the thieves or your car they had been using, the proprietor kindly asks you to send a personal message to Nauman Razzak or your HoustonCarScene Facebook page. If the lead stems out of your re-share feel free to split the video – there & rsquo; s a bonus.
