Are you familiar with all the ‘Hosts’? A current science fiction TV series ‘Westworld’ from HBO investigates a story in a fictional and a technologically innovative wild-west-themed park known as ‘Westworld’ populated with robots known as ‘Hosts’.
Interacting like actual humans, the hosts are all programmed to meet the guests’ desire. The human ‘guests’ may indulge in their fantasies inside the park without the fear of reprisal from the hosts, who are programmed in a manner which they cannot hurt humans. The planet becomes topsy-turvy as soon as the robots begin remembering their past & lsquo; rsquo & lifestyles; and get revengeful. This leads to a discussion on the integrity of human-robot interactions. Will the humans need to take a moral stand to make certain that robots have been handled nicely? Or, if we stay prepared for a not-too-distant warfare of Intelligence?
Are we Handing over Our World to the ‘Hosts’?
The pace of growth in the field of automation, robotics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been accelerating in the last ten years. Futurists believe that in the future, humanity will be threatened or maybe taken over by robots. In 2017, Masayoshi Son, the founder of SoftBank warned “the Singularity is coming” and predicted that in 30 years smart robot population will soon be 10 billion, on par with all the inhabitants. Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX and Tesla, addressed Artificial Intelligence for humankind since the existential threat. A concern lurks in people’s minds that the scenes in the “Westworld” may mirror themselves in the actual world if people don’t restrict Artificial Intelligence.
AI: A Boon or a Bane?
Humanoid robots in Westworld really are a typical example of Strong AI, that can be known as as Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). They could think, learn and act like a real human. Technology are still far apart in attaining strong AI, especially in the areas of emotion, awareness, and imagination. Majority of present AIs are feeble AIs, named Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI) too, which can do one or more smart things to address certain use cases. For example, AlphaGo can play the board game ‘Go’ although it can beat the best human ‘Go’ player. Robots in the plant can implement defined routines in assembly or production line despite their quality and productivity are greater than employees. Weak AI is great at accomplishing jobs that are repetitive and regular. It has relieved the humans of those tasks, thus enhancing the quality and fostering economic and social improvement.
Humanity is creative and intrigued . Until the true “& bull ” has been rigged, the humans will hold on for their optimism that there’s still 1 percent possibility that there isn’theres a threat or there’s no ‘Demon’ whatsoever. This Chinese adage sums up the gist of lsquo & the optimism –;’Don’t quit rsquo; & eating for fear of choking & rsquo;. The West places it in a manner – “Don’t throw off the apple due to rdquo & the core;.
Fixing Humans or Facilitating Them?
While it’s an issue of relaxation that AI won’t be a threat to humankind at least in the next ten years, it’s foreseeable that AI will replace a range of jobs — customer care, financial analyst and might be a truck driver?
– Co-exist with AI to fully leverage the benefits
Trying to compete with AI isn’t even a good idea. There will be a period we need to accept that human beings may never be able to perform the mathematics easier than AI, push a truck or plane or perform the heavy labour work much better than the robots. The solution is to co-exist instead of compete with AI. The remedy lies in leveraging AI as an efficient instrument to assist you achieve greater productivity and superior results.
– Be the creator
Creativity is an intrinsic character and acts as one of the key differentiators. We could free up more time because of our pursuits and incorporate AI to strengthen and assist unleash our negative.
– Invest in creating your Emotional Intelligence
Emotions type the nature of our presence. Care love, compassion and empathy are irreplaceable by AI or machines. Enhance you & rsquo and it is to be mindful of emotions;s Emotional Intelligence.
– Learn for life
Lifelong jobs are evaporating. Self-driving cars will be. Welding employees in manufacturing are almost replaced with robots. Instead of betting your work ’s presence prior to your retirement, then it’s far much better to invest in yourself by learning new skills and getting experience. It’s a journey of continuous learning to stay relevant with the technology development that is exponential. The intelligence that is actual lies in ensuring that you equip yourself to maintain the invasion of Artificial Intelligence and a more sophisticated technology ahead of time.
