U Spy The New 2020 Mercedes-Benz S-Class With Triangular Taillights

The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class was spied during a form of testing in Breckenridge, Colorado.

These pictures, recorded by Carscoops reader Evan Solida, reveal a set of S-Class prototypes under thick camouflage when driving through the little ski resort town. As with other spy shots of the new S-Class have shown, the car is set to look quite a lot different than the incoming S-Class.

In the rear, not the presence of camouflage can hide the triangular-shaped taillights that the new S-Class is place to receive, motivated from the lights of their CLS. For this writer’s eyes, the taillights of the CLS don’t appear tasteful so I’m not holding out much hope that they will be better about the new S-Class. Together with the new taillights, the latest S-Class will feature a distinct rear bumper design.

Past spy shots have shown that Mercedes-Benz will also overhaul the vehicle’s front seat with a brand new grille and full design LED headlights. The car will also feature door handles.

Inside modifications are made. The center console will be dominated by a huge, Tesla-like touchscreen while a large horizontal digital gauge audience will continue to be used. We have no doubt that the new interior design will split opinions but when there’s one firm which can nail an inside, it might have to become Mercedes-Benz.

Many technologies will come fitted to the new S-Class, such as Level 3 semi-autonomous forcing approaches. Carscoops knows that all new S-Class models will comprise hybrid 2.9-liter along with 3.0-liter petrol and petrol inline-sixes with some supplying all-electric ranges of around 62 miles (100 kilometers ). Future AMG-branded models, such as the S 63, will still continue to feature the company’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine however likely updated using 48-volt mild-hybrid technology.

We are aware of the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class will premiere in 2020.
