Uber claimed financial assistance to drivers forced off the road by the coronavirus, although some who seem to fulfill its rigorous eligibility criteria have been not able to get the company to pay them.
A number of drivers, all people who have informed Business Insider which Uber had refused or ignored their orders for pay after closing their balances.
While Uber promptly blocked them from forcing drivers say the provider’s answer has left them frustrated and out.
“We remain committed to working with drivers and delivery people around the world to help support them. We will continue to advocate for independent workers,” Uber stated in an announcement to Business Insider.

Zachary Frenette has driven for Uber at Phoenix, Arizona, for the last two years, earning”Diamond” status and a 4.96 average score during that moment, while finishing over 4,300 trips in the last year alone. He’s also HIV positive, meaning he’s a weakened immune system which puts him in a higher chance of developing acute symptoms or dying out of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

So, Frenette promptly stopped accepting rides and went to his doctor, ” he wrote him a letter telling him itself indulgent to”limit exposure and potential spread” of this virus.
