Updated Tesla Autopilot Beta Software Can React To Traffic Lights

A group of Tesla owners have received a Autopilot feature that enables the marque’s vehicles to stop with no driver intervention.

Electrek reports that this feature forms part of a much more advanced version of Autopilot that Tesla is growing for suburban driving. A video shared Twitter indicates the proprietor of some Model 3 filming the electric sedan responding to traffic lights.

Tesla rolls such new application features to its own & lsquo;rsquo & ancient accessibility fleet;, a set of owners with the chance to test out new upgrades from the automaker before they’re. This video shows how the Tesla is able to set off whenever the traffic light turns green (albeit with a slight delay) and the way that it can bring the vehicle to a stop in a red light, despite no vehicle before follow.

The technology doesn’t even appear to work perfectly , however. On three occasions, the machine says it will stop for a coming traffic light a few hundred feet prior to knowing these lights are green and that it can proceed through the junction.
