Prior to pre-orders for the Volkswagen ID. Hatchback kicking off, the organization ’s Dutch division published (and quickly removed) a couple of videos showcasing a lightly-disguised prototype. Thanks to the folks over at Elektrowoz, we have a number of screenshots that were captured before the videos were removed.
As spy shots of this ID. Hatchback have suggested, the automobile will look similar to the idea. The design is different than other models in the Volkswagen family with the fresh and modern design fitting of an all-new generation of products from the vehicle manufacturer.

The prototype featured from the video was covered in a blue and red paint scheme and while some parts of the automobile are concealed, many components aren’t. By way of example, at the front, we could see the headlights of this ID. For the first time, complete with LED daytime running lights integrated into the edges of the headlight units. Elsewhere, we can see a lower grille on the vehicle in addition to a number of golf ball-like dimples throughout the bumper.
In terms of the sides, the most noteworthy element are the windows in front of the side mirrors. The hatchback sports thin A-pillars and promises to give excellent visibility. Screenshots showing rsquo & the automobile;s back reveal a prominent wing extending off taillights, a tailgate that is sharp, and the roof like those of the Golf.
Volkswagen has confirmed that the car will be offered with three battery configurations. The entry-level version will be powered by a 48 kWh package that offers 205 miles (330 km) of driving range. Sitting in the middle of the range will be a model with 280 miles (450 km) of range while a 111 kWh model with approximately 342 miles (550 km) of range will sit at the top of the family. All three versions will have a 168 hp electric motor.
