Arguably the most important new worldwide product for its Blue Oval is the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E electrical SUV. That performance variant features a grille-like picture that pays homage to the gas-powered Mustang GT coupe and convertible, although other Mach-Es have a more futuristic, Tesla-like grille-less look. With the Chinese economy Mach-E becoming its very own domestic manufacturing lineup, building its own slightly-modified variant of the electrical SUV is less of a challenge than asking the worldwide manufacturing line from Mexico to perform the same.
Despite having only a single front-fascia option at launching, the Chinese-market Mustang Mach-E is anticipated to have the same variety of battery and motor options as North American and European versions, offering rear- and all-wheel drive with as little as 266-hp and as much as 480battery packs offering up to 300 miles of range over the EPA cycle. In the U.S., the 2021 Mustang Mach-E is forecast to hit traders by New Year’s Eve; global sales will shortly follow.
