1. Boeing CEO out following 737 Max fiasco, will likely be replaced with current board chairman

Boeing’s CEO Dennis A. Muilenburg will be CEO no longer, the company announced today. Effective January 13, 2020, current Board Chairman David L. Calhoun takes over the best executive officer place at the aerospace firm, and becomes president, as well.

This isn’t exactly a surprising conclusion: Boeing’s year was marked chiefly by its own treatment of this 737 Max issues it faced, which originated from aircraft failures that resulted in crashes and the deaths of passengers.

2. Tesla lands $1.4B out of Chinese banks to build its Shanghai gigafactory

Tesla has allegedly secured around $1.4 billion in funding in the kind of loans from numerous Chinese banks so as to help fund the construction of its new gigafactory from Shanghai. First Reuters and now Bloomberg reported the funding, with a formal announcement allegedly scheduled for sometime this past week.

3. TikTok’s nationwide safety scrutiny tightens as U.S. Navy reportedly prohibits popular social app

According to a notice released by the U.S. Navy this past week, the TikTok will not longer be allowed to be set up on support associates ’ devices, or they might face expulsion from the army support ’s intranet. This is only the latest example of the challenges confronting the program.

5. India’s HomeLane raises $30M to expand its one-stop store for interior layout
