Dyson and its engineers had created a “excellent electric automobile ” according to the company’s creator, but the £2.5 billion project that employs 523 people has failed to entice a buyer who would help develop the future vehicles.

Dyson was dedicated to the project, seeing they poured an sum of money to in order to make a automobile. They also proposed to open a plant in Singapore which will be completed in 2020 and would produce the very first vehicles available for purchase in 2021.

£200 million of the £2.5 billion was set aside for research and development purposes. The firm had built a test track for the own vehicles in the U.K., by which a few of the early production versions were being tested. The company is going to use the money set aside for the EV project to explore new technologies and grow its new University in the U.K. which will offer Bachelor of Engineering programs.

“We can also focus on the formidable job of fabricating pre-assembled batteries along with other fundamental technologies that we have identified: sensing technologies, vision systems, robotics, machine learning, and AI offer us considerable opportunities that we must catch with both hands,” Dyson composed.

Dyson declared it would be shutting both Singapore and U.K. car plants, but may nevertheless continue to “deepen their roots” in both states.

Although the firm has eliminated any chance of creating an electric vehicle in the future, Sir James Dyson says that the project wasn’t a collapse in any sense. “This is a collapse of the team, for whom this news will be hard to hear and digest, or not a product failure,” that the CEO said in a media release on the company’s website.

While unlucky that the company has abandoned the undertaking, Dyson’s effort will reap its goods. They expect to use the understanding that they have obtained with batteries to expand to other projects, including its own vacuums. “Our battery life will reap Dyson in a deep manner and require us. ”
