Elon Musk Drives VW ID.3, Inspects ID.4 In Meeting With Diess

After visiting Tesla’s fresh Gigafactory close Berlin, Germany, Elon Musk allegedly satisfied with VW Group manager Herbert Diess for approximately two hours in a little airport at Brunswick, where Musk got to test drive the VW ID.3 according to people knowledgeable about the issue.

The Tesla CEO also scrutinized the forthcoming ID.4 crossover which VW plans on launching later this season, said the exact sources, who asked to not be named, viewed as this wasn’t a public assembly, reports Autonews Europe.

However, a VW Group spokesman affirmed that Diess did indeed match Musk, yet declined to provide any details about what had been said or what went downhill. Of course, understanding Musk, it’s possible that he won’t retain his ideas about the ID.3 private for a long time.

Throughout his stay in Germany, Musk also visited pharmaceutical firm Curevac, prior to going to Berlin to meet politicians and to have a look at the Gigafactory that’therefore being constructed beyond the German funding in Gruenheide.

This new factory will be Tesla’s in Europe, and might put together as much as 500,000 cars each year.

Meanwhile, the Diess hasn’t shying off from praising Musk’s accomplishments many times in the past, both publicly as well as during private events. Last week, Diess said that Tesla’s new factory brings “trend-setting future automotive tech ” to Germany.
