Elon Musk surely isn’t making friends within the poker community lately. The multibillionaire product architect of Tesla Inc. caused Bitcoin, a type of cryptocurrency that is popular among investment-savvy poker gamers, to plummet with only a couple of tweets.

With a net worth of $151 billion, according to Forbes, Musk is the second wealthiest person on earth. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos tops the charts at $177 billion.

Not only is Musk extremely wealthy, but he’s one of the most followed Twitter users with over 55 million followers. Therefore, when he says anything investment associated, even when it’s seemingly insignificant comment, investors take notice and react accordingly. Over the last week, he also ’s demonstrated that to be authentic. After last week saying Tesla would no longer accept the cryptocurrency until Bitcoin changes to a sustainable, environmental-friendly, use, the worth of one bitcoin dropped. It took a second dip over the last afternoon thanks in big part to some one-word tweet by Elon Musk.

Really

1 term, “indeed,” delivered Bitcoin’s price into a quick tailspin. On May 11, the worth of a bitcoin hovered around $57,000. Six days after, because of Musk’s remarks, it’down s around $44,000. That’s almost a 23% decrease all due to a couple tweets.

On Monday afternoon, though, Musk attempted to calm some anger led his way when he explained in a tweet that Tesla “hasn’t sold any Bitcoin. ”

Poker Community Trashes Elon Musk

Doug Polk, Joey Ingram, along with Haralabos Voulgaris were among the Bitcoin investors who shot shots at Musk more than his current remarks. Despite the fact that Musk clarified that Tesla hadn’t offered off any Bitcoin, Ingram expressed distaste for its billionaire that lately hosted Saturday Night Live.

Please leave bitcoin and go off to your own planet with Hellmuth and the other home game friends

“Please leave bitcoin and go away to your own planet with Hellmuth and the other home game friends,” that the YouTube poker podcaster tweeted in Elon Musk.

Ingram’s pal, Polk, has been highly critical of this Boring Company creator following past week’s cryptocurrency remarks. The Upswing Poker creator claims Musk is clueless when it comes to cryptocurrency, and is amazed by that.

Different elon takes

– DOGE is decentralized– DOGE includes a potentially promising dev staff – Doesnt understand the Trilemma difficulty

When he had any incredible calls on scaling and decentralization, people would love that. But what he has is”make blocks 10x bigger”

— Doug Polk (@DougPolkVids) May 17, 2021

Polk has long been a proponent of both Bitcoin and bought into the cryptocurrency long before it came close to devoting $60,000, which it did earlier this month and in April. He formerly conducted a crypto YouTube channel but stop making videos over one year ago.

Voulgaris is another poker player that invests heavily on cryptocurrency. He also took a humorous approach to the Tesla billionaire.

If it’s possible to set aside the simple fact that Saylor educated Elon on how to earn $TSLA more than they've made selling automobiles, this is truly funny. Top Tier from our lord and savior Elon. https://t.co/CnuBD7EqXf

“Imagine being the richest man in the world and still being held in captivity by investors. When he sells his firm will remain unprofitable and that he ’ll get rid of paper wealth. If he retains he will last this hypocritical charade,” Mike McDonald tweeted.

On a side note, Tesla’s stock price has plummeted over the last month. On April 19, TSLA closed at just over $714 and is now hovering around $575.
