Growlr issues mass account suspensions without explanation

Social media has erupted with a growl of anger after account suspensions on the favorite relationship app Growlr.

Growlr, which caters to Icelandic guys, promises to boast over two million users and launched in 2012. The mass suspensions seem to have begun February 17, and have caused a massive outcry on Facebook and Twitter. In the time of this writing, the business has yet to comment publicly on even the measures it’s taking to resolve the situation, and also the reason for the suspensions. Additionally, it remains unclear precisely how many users were also suspended.

This afternoon ’s funniests posts, unintentionally or not, are about Growlr banning everyone from its app. It’therefore just like someone and individuals are mad they now have to interact.

Media speculation has noted that the company–which sold to the The Meet Group for over $11 million might have signaled its passing. At the moment, CEO Geoff Cook said &ldquoWe are delighted to add Growlr to The Meet Group portfolio. Similar to what we’ve done with our possessions we aim to be aggressive in bringing our model to Growlr. We expect to begin rolling out movie that is live on Growlr in 2019’s fourth quarter. We also see opportunities to grow advertising revenue and we aim to invest in consumer acquisition to expand brand recognition and achieve. ”
