Porsche Is Building A Starship To Fight The Empire In Star Wars

Porsche is teaming up with Lucasfilm to the invention of a new starship design that will debut in the world premiere of the latest Star Wars film called “The Rise of Skywalker”.

Even the Porsche design group has the challenging task of producing a starship featuring the brand’s design DNA, however Michael Mauer, VP of Style Porsche, considers this is a excellent exercise for both his team and Lucasfilm.

“Even though they don’t seem to share many elements at first glance, both worlds have a similar design philosophy,” stated Mauer. “The close cooperation with all the Star Wars design team inspires and fascinates us — I’m sure that both sides may draw benefits . ”

The space craft will capture “a part in the Star Wars galaxy”,” states Porsche. Both design teams may meet regularly over the coming weeks in Stuttgart and San Francisco in order to finalize the plan and make a version of the Porsche starship.

“We are bringing together two worlds with this job: the exotic film design of a galaxy far, far away along with also the accuracy work that goes into creating emotive Porsche sports cars,” stated Doug Chiang, Vice President and Executive Creative Director of Lucasfilm. “This cooperation promises to create an innovative design that will blend the best of both brands to create an exciting new starship worthy of both Porsche and Star Wars. ”

The newest Porsche starship will be revealed in the “Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker” premiere in December, in which the auto maker are also showcasing the Taycan, the newest ’s first electric version.
