It requires a special type of individual to stare in hardship and watch a bright future ahead. It also requires a unique group of committed folks to demonstrate that amidst all of the conflicts and ugliness in the world, there’s still a space for individual kindness. This was recently demonstrated by the Tesla community from the Netherlands, when they came together to grant a particular “bucket listing ” desire for an outstanding guest.

Rob (last name not given), who resides in the town of Utrecht, Netherlands, found the words that nobody ever wants to listen to last December. Late in the month, Rob got information that he only had a few months left to live. One of his friends, Tesla enthusiast Ruben Jason Penders, had been asking him around a “bucket list” wish that he could help him with. Rob initially declined, but with enough prodding, he said that he wished to experience “this electric Tesla automobile. ”

In a video about Rob’s narrative that was shared on YouTube, Ruben noticed that his friend was aware he would not go through the electric car era himself. Nevertheless, Rob still wished to “undergo the near future my children and grandkids will live in. ” On the last day of 2018, Ruben got to work, posting on the Tesla Motors Club forum and asking if some Tesla owners are willing to give his friend a short ride in their vehicle. In his post, Ruben mentioned that a 10-15 minute ride in a Tesla would burst.

The Tesla community made a decision to go over and beyond. Within a couple of hours, several owners had chosen to give a few of their time to grant Rob’s “bucket list” wish. Not long after that, a tiny get-together was organized, with several owners pledging to travel to the city of Utrecht to give Rob the full Tesla experience.

As could be found in a video of the exceptional get-together, Rob and his family were picked up with three electric automobiles from his home (just two Teslas along with also a Jaguar I-PACE). This was the start of Rob’s surprise, though, because he was soon chased by 20 much more Teslas and their beaming owners. Rob was able to go through the entire Tesla ecosystem, from using the Supercharger Network to using Autopilot on the highway. At one point in the video, Rob revealed what could be called a classic Tesla smile as he experienced firsthand what appeared to be a Model S P100D Ludicrous Mode launch. In still another gesture from the Tesla community, Rob was able to push a Model S as well.

Despite its imperial mission, Tesla remains a polarizing company, especially in the United States. The company, particularly its CEO, Elon Musk, get a notable quantity of vitriol on a nearly daily basis in critics, some of whom stand to get monetary gains if Tesla were to fall. In social networking platforms like Twitter the clashes involving the TSLA community, who supports the business, and also the TSLAQ group, who are clamoring to your electric automobile maker to fall, happen every day. However, regardless of the noise from the company’s skeptics, you will find stories like Rob’therefore, which may only be called initiatives that are accomplished through the kindness of your heart.

This is not the first time that the Tesla community has done anything like this, either.   Last year, Dr. Matthew Chan, a Tesla enthusiast diagnosed with cancer, was given the full VIP treatment following the community got together to arrange a meetup with all Chief Designer Franz Von Holzhausen. During Dr. Chan’therefore excursion, he was able to chat with all the Tesla designer broadly, and his trip was capped off with a meet-and-greet together with Elon Musk himself. Not long before that, a narrative also emerged that involved the business bumping a terminally-ill man up the Model 3 booking record , so that he could experience and revel in the car while he was able.
