Tesla community donates to protect Kettleman City Supercharger Cats

Tesla owners are devoting funds to Animal Control classes in California to help spay and neuter a bunch of kittens who are calling the Kettleman City Supercharger “home. ”

The Kettleman City Supercharger is infamous one of Tesla owners because it’s home to a full-scale charging station. Fit with 40 V3 Supercharger stalls that are capable of up to 250kW charging rates, a customer lounge, and numerous restaurants, and it’s the premier place to control an electric vehicle.

But while some owners might want to stay at the Kettleman City Supercharger, 60 cats live the fantasy. Tesla owners are referring to this group of loveable felines as the “Kettleman Cats,” in an effort to normalize their presence at the station.

One Tesla owner, Eddie Serrano, even said he enjoys coming to the Kettleman City station merely to see cats. “I have ta have a peak,” he said on Fox News Affiliate KMPH.  “It’s always a wonderful excuse to come check out some kitties, charge the vehicle. I only got two kittens myselfso I was like, you understand I felt like a cat Dad. I wished to see that the little kitties. ”

However, the owners who visit Kettleman do not just have a peek at cats. They’re now donating funds to maintain the felines and the others safe through spaying and neutering.

The native Animal Control group said they obtained a $1,000 contribution by a Tesla owner, and other money has also rolled in to encourage the kitty ’s performance.

Another owner, Wendi Weidner, who resides across the United States in New Hampshire, has started a GoFundMe page for the cats. It currently is only $464 short of its $3,600 target. Animal Services state that the quantity of money they have received thus far is sufficient to help 16 of the 60 total cats who reside at the facility.

On Tuesday, Animal Sevices will capture and spay and neuter 16 cats, and they have said they hope to receive extra funds to care for the remaining 44.

The contribution of capital from not only local users of this Kettleman City Supercharger but additionally Tesla owners across the nation shows the good-hearted temperament of the EV community. Despite many arbitrary cats hanging out at the station, nobody has known animal control to remove these critters.

Tesla owners have rallied across the adorable and loveable group of felines to create their home a bit more comfy. In addition to that, but spaying and neutering will continue to keep the animals cleanhealthy, and certainly will limit aggression toward people and other cats.
