Tesla is looking for a location in US, probably in Texas, to set a new Gigafactory. Company CEO and founder Elon Musk took to Twitter to announce that, adding that the new manufacturing plant will be utilized to construct the Cybertruck.

Musk afterwards added that the Model Y will be fabricated on the east coast, indicating that there may be a third Gigafactory in the pipeline. Currently, Tesla’s sole Gigafactory at the US is currently in Fremont, California, where the firm creates the Model S, 3, X and Y. In addition, it has a battery plant in Nevada.

Why Texas for the Cybertruck, then? Nicely, Automotive News stated it’s the top state for pickup sales in the country and home to General Motors’ along with Toyota’s automobile factories. With the Cybertruck, Tesla aims to take on the likes of this Ford F-150 along with Chevrolet Silverado.

Only last week, Musk said that the production version of this Cybertruck may turn out to be better looking. It s clear how broad the changes will be, but going ultra-hard stainless steel exterior casing and by its own model guise, security specialists have doubts about how it will fare in crashes. That is because the hard shell is incapable of crumpling such as the body of a car, which could pose another set of dangers.

Other developments include a payload towing calculator to inform busy ride height and damping that is active, as well as owners just how much merchandise they can carry which are ldquo;game-changing to get a truck or some other automobile with a high max/min weight ratio. ”

There will be three versions of this Cybertruck available, starting with the Single Motor Rear-Wheel Drive, to Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive, along with range-topping Tri Motor All-Wheel Drive. The top version is scheduled to go on the market in 2021 (a year sooner than Tesla had initially announced), while the entry-level version was pushed back into late-2022. All models will find exactly the Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel exterior body, which will be 45% more heavy but stronger than ceramic.

It’therefore easy to imagine how hefty the Cybertruck will function, but Tesla claims that the version boasts as much as 400 km of driving array, using the top model getting up on a charge. The 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) sprint is reached in 2.9 minutes, a figure which can be reduced if Tesla choose to make a smaller truck.
