A day after a demonstration against Tesla in China which has been covered by international media outlets, the EV maker’s booth at the Shanghai International Auto Show stayed popular, with numerous visitors checking out the company’s all-electric automobiles. This may be seen in videos and images taken the afternoon following the high-profile presentation.

According to pictures and clips of Tesla’therefore booth the afternoon following the demonstration, the EV manufacturer is still attracting huge crowds of visitors. Though a good portion of this may very well be due to Tesla’s popularity in China and also the Model 3’s rankings in the country’s EV sector, a part of the increased interest may have been motivated by the news coverage which ensued following the demonstration

On Monday, Tesla’s booth at the Shanghai International Auto Show became the scene of a drama after a Model 3 owner climbed on top of one of the display vehicles and protested against the business, claiming that her automobile ’so brakes were faulty. The Model 3 owner was connected by yet another protester, who stayed with the crowd. The two women wore shirts announcing Tesla’s alleged brake failures.

The woman on top of this Model 3 was immediately removed by guards at the event, although not until the demonstration attracted a notable degree of attention. Unfortunately for the protester, she had been arrested by the Shanghai authorities for “disrupting public order. ” The protester would likewise maintain police custody for five days.

The saga of this Tesla protester began in February, when the girl ’s Model 3 crashed into another vehicle at a speed the EV manufacturer later determined was about 118 km/h (73 mph). The owner maintained that the crash was a result of brake failure, even though authorities have determined that the cause of this episode had been reckless driving because the Model 3 failed to maintain a safe distance from the cars in front.

The Tesla owner later took actions against her local Tesla service center, refusing repair and insisting on a full refund rather, also compensation for lost wages. The owner also declined Tesla’so offer to possess the automobile taken into a third-party agency to get an examination. Picket-line protests against the firm were later organized, culminating in this Monday’s demonstration at the Shanghai International Auto Show.

Tesla, for its own part, has reacted to the episode , later apologizing to the Model 3 owner and launching a committed “Special Handling Team” for client concerns.

“We apologize for failing to address the problem of the vehicle owner punctually … Tesla respects and rigorously obeys the decisions of relevant government departments, respects customers, abides by regulations and laws, and resolutely actively cooperates with all investigations of relevant government departments. To this end, we’ve set up a special handling group, dedicated to special management, and strive to satisfy the requirements of car owners and strive to satisfy car owners while complies with regulations and laws,” the company wrote.
