Tesla says that deliveries of its own all-electric Semi will start this season. The news that Tesla delivered in its Q1 2021 Update Letter seems to hint that the battery constraint issues that place the Semi’s first delivery dates into question may be coming to an end once-and-for-all.

Before now, Tesla released its Q1 2021 Shareholder Deck, an Update Letter which brings shareholders and fans current on a number of the lesser-known details surrounding the world’s most-discussed automobile company. The news efficiently could put an end to discussions of battery limitations, a problem that has plagued automakers who manufacture electric vehicles for a long time. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said in the past that battery limitations are the major bottleneck affecting Semi manufacturing companies. As recently as March 2021, Musk said, “Demand isn’t a problem, however, near-term cell phone makes it tough to scale Semi. This restriction won’t be as onerous following calendar year. ” Still, it is not a new matter. During the Q3 Earnings Call in 2020, Musk said, “We need to solve the mobile constraint before ramping Semi to substantial quantity. This ’s the sole constraint on Semi’s advancement. ”

The Semi, due to its large size, higher variety, and demand for excessive power output demands an important number of cells. The Semi may have been generated previously, but it could have affected the production processes of Tesla’s mass-produced vehicles, like the Model 3 and Model Y. Ultimately, the most prevalent consumer vehicles take priority, along with the Semi endeavor only had to wait.

Tesla is not dealing with any issues with regard to Semi need, however. Before this season, it was announced that PepsiCo. Would be getting 15 Semis from Tesla, which makes it one of the first businesses to take delivery of this all-electric 18-wheeler. PepsiCo. Said that it expected to accept shipping from the end of 2021, and Tesla’s fresh quotes align with those predictions.

The hype surrounding the Semi has been especially loud this season. Tesla has been developing a Semi technician team in several places. The car was also spotted about the Fremont Test Track earlier this season in a video released by Tesla on Twitter.
