Tesla on Wednesday announced that upgraded versions of this Model S and Model X would arrive later this year.
The crossover and sedan now have landscape-oriented displays and U-shaped steering brakes.
Tesla also included new sporty cut levels to each car’s lineup.

Tesla teased a revamped Model S at its fourth-quarter 2020 revenue report Wednesday, also upgraded its online configurator to signify the coming changes. The Model X and Model S ‘ are getting a complete overhaul, with all the new versions entering production later this year, Tesla verified.
“Over the past few weeks, we have been upgrading our Fremont Factory to launch the new Model S and Model X. These changes include a new powertrain (battery modules, battery packs, drive units), an entirely new interior, exterior updates and other improvements,” the company stated. “Production will resume in Q1 and ramp back to full capacity over time.”

Tesla has turned into the automobile and SUV’s portrait-oriented touchscreens 90 levels, so they look as the landscape displays found at the Model Y and Model 3. The vehicles still retain a display behind the steering wheel, and get an extra one for the back passengers assembled into the center console.
The most dramatic change is that Tesla awakened the normal round steering wheel found at the Model S and Model X in favor of what it requires a”steering yoke,” a squared-off wheel which doesn’t have some stalks. The turn signals appear to have migrated to haptic-touch buttons on the steering wheel itself.
A similar manner of steering wheel has been found on concept versions of the upcoming Cybertruck and Roadster.

The two versions are becoming new powertrain options also.
For the Model S, Tesla removed the Performance trimming and substituted it with the Plaid variation. A new Plaid Plus version reaches the top-tier Model S, sporting a 520-mile range, 1,100 horsepower, along with supercar-like speed and acceleration.
Throughout Tesla’s earnings call with investors Wednesday, Musk explained that the new Model S and Model S Plaid will Start shipping in February, calling the latter”the fastest-accelerating car ever made that is allowed to go on roads in history”
The Model X currently features a Plaid variant of its own with a $119,990 sticker cost and 1,020 horsepower.
The Long Range Model S prices $79,990, the Plaid version prices $119,990, and also the Plaid Plus version commands $139,990.
