Tesla vandals in Germany generated an electrical fire at the Giga Berlin site close to Brandenburg and acknowledged in a peculiar letter claiming that Tesla is “neither green, ecological, nor social. ”

At approximately 3 A.M. area time in Germany last night, a little fire appeared approximately 500 meters in the Giga Berlin construction site where Tesla intends to start producing electric cars after this season . Police said a little part of the woods, about three square meters in size, caught fire as a result of a damaged electrical cable which runs power to the construction site. Police concluded that perpetrators damaged the cables by soaking them in flammable liquid. Then they tied the cables into a fence with cable, local authorities said. Even though the cables triggered the fires, they continue to be functional, according to the police.

Joachim Lemmel, a spokesman for the State Criminal Police Office, said that the energy lines provide power to Giga Berlin plus a district of Erkner, a little city nearby.

Police are now assuming that the flame was an act of vandalism, claiming that the rationale could be governmental after a letter from a group authored by a person or entity calling themselves “Vulkangruppe” surfaced on line. Vulkangruppe means “volcanic group. ”

The letter was discovered on the internet and appears to claim obligation by outlining its motivation for the attack. The motive seems to point toward a debate using Tesla’s existence in the region and says the automaker isn’t as environmentally friendly because it claims to be.

The correspondence says (through rbb24):

“On the night of May 25th to 26th, 2021, we reduce the energy source for the construction site of the Tesla Giga mill in Grünheide near Berlin by setting fire to six high-voltage cables placed over earth to get. Tesla is neither green, ecological nor social. Our fire stands against the lie of the green automobile. ”

Police are examining the credibility of the letter.

Local groups which are opposed to Tesla’s construction of the Giga Berlin plant have lent their discontent for the attack, claiming that violence is not the way to express their own message. The Citizens’ Initiative Grünheide, a neighborhood group that has voiced their resistance to the Gigafactory, spoke from the attack. Spokesperson Streffen Schorcht stated they expected attacks to happen because “We emphasized that since many individuals don’t feel involved in the democratic process of the payoff of Tesla. ” However, Schorcht asserts that his group doesn’t wreak havoc against Tesla or the mill and encourages citizens that disagree to use democratic options instead.

The harm is minor, and there’ll not be any flaws to the Gigafactory’s progress. According to the report from rbb24, Tesla stated that the fire had no effects on the construction project, also Giga Berlin proceeds to roll toward an expected manufacturing launch date in the forthcoming months.
