Tesla has unveiled refreshed models of its Model X and Model S automobiles, showing that both are equipped with gambling hardware supporting “up to ten teraflops of processing power”. This puts a car within the ballpark of a brand fresh generation console.

The Tesla versions, priced in excess of $80,000 and shipping from March, are fitted using hardware to electricity Tesla Arcade, a web-based gaming system that’s already accessible present Tesla versions. The difference is that previous versions are just able to run demanding games such as Cuphead and Cat Quest, while the promotional stuff for its new Tesla versions reveal The Witcher 3 displayed on the 17” fundamental console. This suggests a considerable step up for your own automobile ’s gambling potential.

Specifics on how strong the automobile ’s gambling rig is isn’t easy to tell, since the quoted”up to 10 teraflops of processing power” may ’t be directly translated to the power of a PS5, that is effective at 10.28 teraflops. The accompanying elements must also be taken into account, also Tesla has offered no details on the complete specs of the hardware. It’s unclear if Nvidia or even AMD GPUs are used, or if it comes in Tesla’s own system-on-a-chip. And while The Witcher 3 is still an impressive match by… err… automobile criteria, it’s very much a last-gen experience today. Theoretically, though, the system from the newest Teslas is capabale of powerful gaming performance.

Scant details about the gambling system is found on both the Model X and Model S webpages on the Tesla website, below the Interior Feature Details section. Tesla Arcade will support wireless controls for gambling by any seat, played two entertainment screens are situated in the center console and also between the front seats for rear passengers. Presumably games may ’t be played on the most important 2200×1300 resolution center screen when driving, for evident reasons.

Want to play The Witcher game on your Tesla? (you can already watch the show on Tesla Netflix theater)

Tesla owner Elon Musk previously teased the notion of enjoying The Witcher 3 at a Tesla on Twitter, with thousands voting in his poll to mention they’d like to do such an absurd thing. Only days later, we got this information. While unconfirmed, the usage of The Witcher 3 at the official advertising and marketing images suggests that Witcher programmer CD Projekt is bringing the game to Tesla Arcade.

To play games, including The Witcher 3, on your car without paying $80,000+, might we suggest the reasonably priced Nintendo Switch? It’s getting a fresh Red and Blue Mario-themed variant , that will go nicely with any automobile sporting blue or red paintwork.
