LOS ANGELES–The station wagon is an entire outlier in now ’s automotive space, that might help to clarify why driving just one feels as a exceptional experience at each opportunity behind the wheel. Really, a Volvo V90 station wagon humming together on American streets is an unusual sight among the dull mob of SUVs and crossovers. In Los Angeles, where shaky drivers run amok, it is simple to forget about the calmness located on the backroads found within only a few miles out the mayhem. In a crowded room filled with regulars, that the V90 motivates one to run for the hills, where you can escape to nature for a dose of tranquility, and making the 2020 Volvo V90 T6 R Design a vehicle that deserves more credit than it usually receives.

R-Design in Bursting Blue metallic fit superbly in the frame of a massive glass window.

“That really is a crazy color,” said the surfer guy standing behind me, that was also in line for a cup of vision. He wished to understand the way the V90 played on its 20-inch R-Design wheels, and I told him it drove like a champ, thanks in part to the wagon’s premium rear air suspension. We talked about his glistening silver Volkswagen GTI parked alongside the curb, and he shared that he had driven classic VW Busses for many years prior to making the switch to some dual-clutch transmission. I recommended he learn more about the pros (and cons) of contemporary technology, and off I went on Palos Verdes Estates, a location the 2020 Volvo V90 T6 R Design can spread its wings.

traded his Tesla Model X for a Volvo XC90 R-Design. He had, he said, spent almost all of his life condemning Volvo automobiles for being what he described as dull. The reason he surrendered the Model X for the XC90: He believed it had been a safer car in which to transport his loved ones, while acknowledging he never envisioned he and his spouse could one day each own a Volvo.  Although he commended the Swedish marque, he also had criticisms of Volvo, for example, organization ’s longstanding, apparently outdated badge, and the dearth of variety it gives in terms of colours and wheel options.

Fair enough. The all-wheel-drive V90 we tested dressed in the R-Design bundle costs $58,445, handling and destination included. Among the additional gear on the test vehicle were that the Advanced Package ($2,450), R-Design leather seats ($750), carbon-fiber inlays ($800), and Park Assist Pilot ($200).
