TikTok’s future in the US is unclear as it faces off against the Trump administration’s executive orders attempting to ban the app nationwide.
Bloomberg reports that TikTok employees are scared about the status of their employment, and are regularly asking executives about layoffs and job security.
Employees are reportedly referring the deadline Trump has set for a TikTok ban as “D-Day” in preparation of job losses.
Through the uncertainty, TikTok has grown its US operations to 1,500 employees, and has committed to creating 10,000 jobs by 2023.

Despite assurances TikTok isn’t leaving the United States, employees at the company reportedly fear they’ll soon be without a job. 

Bloomberg reports that TikTok executives are regularly fielding questions in virtual town halls from employees wondering if they will still have a job in a couple of months.
