Tesla CEO Elon Musk declared the change on Twitter, but didn’t give a reason behind the more pricey paint.

Musk was quick to shut down ideas that the corporation might start to provide automobiles in different colors, noting that incorporating fresh colors would produce future servicing tough, resulting in”a long tail of hurt”.

The business has made several alterations for its own pricing in recent months. In March that it fell the price of an entry-level Model 3, also in April Musk tweeted that the price of automobiles equipped with Full Self Driving mode would”increase substantially over time”.
