Toyota has announced a pair of automated goodies that can make its automobiles safer and greener .

From 2020 onwards, new Toyota models will be kitted out with automatic parking, which kicks in if you escape without putting the car in park. At the moment, the organization’s cars provide visual warnings and beep perilously in case you hop out without parking properly, but in future they’ll also place the parking brake on for you, or change the car to the’park’ place.

This may not sound like much, but it might lower the possibility of horrible accidents where drivers are struck when their parked car rolls forward suddenly.

Power down

New automobiles will also arrive with automatic shutoff, which (as its name implies ) will turn off the engine if it is left unattended for quite a while.

Again, Toyota’s vehicles already alert the driver if the engine has to be switched off, however, the upgraded system will make it even more clear, and do the deed to you in case you don’t turn the key soon enough. There will even be a smartphone program to automatically warn you in case you’ve been especially forgetful.
