Although he might not seem like a car guy, Bill Gates has owned some remarkable exotics over the years, including a number of Porsches and Lamborghinis. More recently, he went electrical by purchasing a Porsche Taycan.

Speaking to YouTuber Marques Brownlee, the Microsoft co-founder gave compliments to Tesla for creating automobiles popular, even though he ended up getting Porsche’s dedicated EV.  “Tesla, in case you had to name 1 firm that’s helped push that, it s them stated Gates. “I only acquired a Porsche, a Taycan which is an electric car and I have to mention it s a premium-priced car, but it is very trendy,” Gates added. “That’s my first electric car, and I’m enjoying it a great deal. ”

Asked if there’s anything lacking from your EV experience, Gates explained that compared to classic ICE models you get longer re-charging times compared to refilling your car and a driving range.

Still, since cash is definitely the least of Gates’ difficulties, we guess he selected the top-of-the-line Taycan Turbo S, that starts at $185,000 from the United States.

With as much as 750 HP (761 PS / 560 kW) and 774 lb-ft (1,049 Nm) of torque available on Overboost, it requires as little as 2.6 minutes to sprint out of nought to 60 mph (0-96 km/h), and will keep hastening up to 161 mph (259 km/h).

The routine Taycan Turbo will set you back at $150,900 and boasts 670 HP (680 PS / 500 kW) and 626 lb-ft (849 Nm) on Overboost. The 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) takes 3.2 seconds and top rate is identical to its sportier sibling.

If you want to help keep it lighter to the finances, then the Taycan 4S would be the one to go for. At $103,800, it’s $47,100 and $than the Turbo and Turbo S, respectively, and in spite of it, the entry-level positioning ’s still ridiculously quick. It offers up to 522 HP (530 PS / 389 kW) and 563 HP (571 PS / 420 kW) using all the optional Performance Battery Plus bundle, hits 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.8 seconds and maxes out at 155 mph (250 km/h).
