The Intel Xe pictures card launch date appears to getting clearer, with reports from Taiwan suggesting that first Intel GPU will arrive at mid-2020. The first release window for your Intel Xe cards has been put at a fairly vague 2020 back when Raja Koduri initially joined the blue group and it tweeted a guarantee to “place our graphics free. ”
That appeared to be farther dialed in when Koduri, VP of Intel’so core and visual computing team and general graphics guru, tweeted a picture of his Tesla with a brand new personalised number plate scanning ‘THINKXE’ together with the June 2020 date. It might be a coincidence, but it might also be a tease when we could expect to see Intel’s gaming GPU hit the marketplace.
The latest report is only from ‘industry resources ’ who give a launch that is mid-2020 time for the cards. That would tie-in to a June launch for the Xe structure, and the beginning of a three-way struggle for the hearts and minds of PC gamers used to a 2 party system. Why should AMD and Nvidia be worried? There are a number of people at Intel working to be certain they are.
