Rivian’s Amazon Delivery Van Finally Hits the Road in New Video

Rivian includes a lot on its plate at the moment, partnering with Ford on a Lincoln-badged electric SUV and preparing its R1S SUV and R1T pickup truck to input production late this year. In its free time, apparently, the upstart electric carmaker has plans to build 100,000 delivery trucks for Amazon. From what we could tell in a recently released movie, the very first Rivian-built van has been sent, and there’s a great deal of neat features you might not expect to locate discover on a delivery vehicle.

There are a number of a new safety features contained in the van, also. A 360-degree perspective camera, different driver support aids, and a strengthened driver’s side door all create the van a much safe place for delivery motorists while giving them a better idea of what’s around the van. There are also brightly tail lights that surround the rear of the vehicle, making it easier for other motorists to see. There’s also what Amazon is calling for a “dancefloor” in the cottage, making it easier for the driver to maneuver indoors.
