Tesla China seems to be shipping Model 3 Performance sedans out of Giga Shanghai, dependent on current photos captured by the country’s auto enthusiasts. Tesla China also received approval from the country’s regulators to start promoting Model 3 versions.

Pictures of this Model 3 Performance were uploaded by Tesla enthusiast @JayInShanghai. The images clearly show not only the Chinese Tesla insignia that comes standard on all vehicles created in Giga Shanghai but additionally the Dual Motor” badge. The sole Model 3 version that was announced for Giga Shanghai thus much is the Model 3 Standard Range+. Tesla China does list both the SR+, and Dual Motor Long Range and Performance versions for sale on its site, though no statements are made about the Model 3 trimming that will be made at the Shanghai-based centre.

As the Model 3 Performance begins getting sent from Giga Shanghai, the Financial Post reported that Tesla also received approval by the Chinese government’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on March 6 to the vehicle’s Long Range RWD version.

The acceptance says that new automobiles will have a variety of over 600 km or about 327 miles. The SR+ version provided to Chinese clients because Giga Shanghai’s days of manufacturing provides 445 km of range per charge. The Long Range and Performance versions provide 595 and 590 km of range.
