Tesla Model 3 Looks Just As At-Home In Paris As It Does In America

European automobiles can look at home on American streets. Mind you, but certainly likely, and some most. The inverse, on the other hand, tends not to be true: many American cars look entirely out of place on the opposite side of the Atlantic.

But seeing the newest Tesla Model 3 around the ground of this 2018 Paris Auto Showwe’re confident it belongs as much in Europe as it’s in America, as far as any European car does.

Any regular (or even occasional) reader of the or just about any car or tech website will probably already be knowledgeable about this Model 3 — and the controversy surrounding it.

Tesla’s highly expected entry-level version has been more hyped compared to … um, whatever it’s that Kim and Kanye are doing these days. The infant brother to the Model S which put Tesla about the map, the Model 3 is the hottest-selling electric car available on the industry along with really a midsize sedan.

It’so powered by either one electric motor in the rear (great for 271 horsepower or 202 kW) or one in each axle (for a joint 346 hp/258 kW) and through-the-road all-wheel driveway.

The new Performance model goes much farther with 450 hp (340 kW), and Tesla brought among them to Paris as well. And there’ll be more available versions to trace , with a more compact battery — capable of 50 kWh rather than 75 — along with a price tag guaranteed to start at only $35,000 (in the US).

Before those cheaper models arrive, however, Elon Musk and company might have to overcome the trouble they’ve encountered in getting production of the current versions up and running smoothly, and get the Model 3 to the hands of its eagerly awaiting customers — from the US and abroad.
